One person had minor injuries and another person with injuries refused treatment. A fifth person was being evaluated, according to the fire rescue department.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officers are investigating the crash. One airboat was on fire after the crash.
“Preliminary information suggests we had two airboats, commercial airboats, collide out in our Wildlife Management Area,” Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer Tyson Matthews told WSVN-Ch. 7. “This is all still early information, but what we have right now, there were four injured people on an airboat, and they were all transported to Broward [Health] North hospital,” said Matthews.
