Ana de Armas Wore a Magnificently Modern Version of a Marilyn Monroe Dress

Although Kim Kardashian recently brought Marilyn Monroe’s formfitting “naked” dress to the forefront, I still associate Monroe with one dress and one dress only: The iconic white halter frock that blew upwards when she stood over a subway grate in the movie The Seven Year Itch

As you may know, Ana de Armas played Monroe in the upcoming movie Blonde, so naturally, she paid homage to the ’50s icon while promoting the film. Instead of wearing a literal reference, de Armas wore a magnificently modern, custom-made halter dress by Louis Vuitton complete with hundreds of silver and gold paillettes. Have you ever seen such a stunning gown? Scroll down to see how Ana de Armas translated Monroe’s famous halter dress for 2022.
