BOYNTON BEACH — A passenger in an Aug. 27 crash on Military Trail in Boynton Beach has died, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Jean Saltzman, 94, of Delray Beach, died Sept. 3. She had been taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries she received during the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Saltzman was a passenger in a car driven by Delores Francis, 73. Both were wearing seatbelts.
Francis’s 2012 Toyota Camry was eastbound on Pipers Glen Boulevard in the left turn lane when a 2006 Ford F-150, driven by Elaine Martins, 34, of Coconut Creek, ran a red light. Her car hit the Toyota and came to rest at the northbound shoulder, while the Toyota came to rest at the southbound shoulder.
Both Francis and Saltzman were taken to the hospital, where Saltzman died at 9 a.m. Sept. 3.
