The Delray Rocks 7-Under team enters this week’s play one game out of the playoff hunt.
The Rocks are 2-3 and sit in a tie for 12th in the 7U division, with the top 8 making the playoffs. There are eight divisions running from Mighty mites (6U) through unlimited (13U).
“We are growing and getting better daily,” said Delray Rocks 7U Coach Anton Grant. “To be the best, you have to trust the process.”
The football playoffs begin Oct. 22 with the first round of the playoffs. The second round is Nov. 5 with the Super Bowl planned for Nov. 12. The AYFLC cheerleading competition will be in mid-November.
Rocks President Bernard Wright said the program has 240 football players and 90 cheerleaders.

“Overall Delray has always had tremendous success on and off the field with football and cheer,” he said. “We continue to provide mentorship to our young men and young ladies in our program.
“We have an outstanding board of directors that work hard to ensure that our program is one of the best in country,” Wright said. “Right now, we two undefeated teams in our 8U and 12U. We have several other teams that are young and competing hard week in and week out. We also have an outstanding cheer program that ranks as one of them best in the AYFLC.”
