Hooters and the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida are teaming for the second year to sell boxes of cookies that will be given to military personnel. (South Florida Hooters/Courtesy)
Whether you’re craving Samoas, Thin Mints or want to try the new Adventureful Girl Scout cookies, they are coming to a Hooters near you in Broward County.
Hooters plans to match every box sold (up to $15,000) at its nine restaurants from Feb. 3 to 6.
According to South Florida Hooters, the company donated $15,000 each to the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida and the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida.

“Since 2009, Girl Scout of Southeast Florida has donated more than 639,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to our brave women and men who are serving our country,” Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, said in a statement. “It’s because of the generosity and support of company’s like Hooters that allows us to give soldiers a taste of home they miss while they are away.”
Kristi Quarles, director of marketing for LTP Management that runs nine South Florida Hooters locations, said she was a Girl Scout for eight years.
“We are thrilled to host the next generation of young female entrepreneurs. We are proud to partner with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida and have their cookie booths at our restaurants and to help them reach more people in our community to provide Cookies for the Military, a taste of home to show we care,” she said in a statement.
