WEST BOCA RATON — A former camp counselor in Palm Beach County has been arrested on more than 30 counts of child pornography.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Isaac Gabriel Yunes, of West Boca, was arrested on Friday.
Investigators say Yunes was a local YMCA camp counselor from 2017-19.
PBSO said Yunes first came onto investigators’ radar after the Sheriff’s Office received information from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding Snapchat accounts being used to send and receive images of child sexual abuse.
Investigators say the tip led them to Yunes and that several images and video were found on Yunes’ device during a search of his home.
Detectives said Yunes attempted to destroy his cellphone and denied all allegations.
Yunes was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Friday.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Sheriff’s Office Detective Emma Borrows at 561-688-4080.
