You will NOT be put on the naughty list because you don’t cook dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

We have it upon good authority that the last thing Santa wants is for you to be all stressed-out, frantically banging pots and pans in the kitchen.

And when you pause long enough to reflect upon it, wouldn’t be more in the spirit of the season to spend as much time as you can with loved ones?

And the best last-minute gift? Dining out. Your treat.

So here’s a list of some of our favorite restaurant specials (and a few cocktail ones too!) in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Remember that prices do not include taxes and gratuities.

And keep coming back to this post as we will update it regularly.

Avalon will be open Dec. 25 from 3 to 9 p.m. and will serve a $85 per person three-course prix fixe menu with lobster bisque, Long Island duck with apple mostarda, Maine halibut with tri-cauliflower, wild boar pappardelle and dessert choices of whipped ricotta and red velvet cake.

The Wreck Bar at the B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale will be open on Christmas Eve and adults 21-and-over can see a holiday-themed Aqua Mermaid Burlesque show and order from the Christmas dinner menu at the resort's Naked Crab Seafood Kitchen & Bar (which will also be open Christmas Day).

There’s a new underwater show at the Wreck Bar in Fort Lauderdale. But it’s not your typical mermaid show. It’s underwater burlesque. Performer Medusirena is the mind behind the show, which is inspired in classic Esther Williams Hollywood movies and Las Vegas shows, such as Jubilee.
