CP Group will be ringing in the holiday spirit with its annual Community Holiday Tree Lighting event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, 5000 T-Rex Ave.

The public event will be highlighted by a 40-foot tree filled with thousands of twinkling LED lights and hundreds of ornaments. The festivities will include meet-and-greets with Santa, performances, photo opportunities and a food truck lane. WPTV-Ch. 5 chief meteorologist Steve Weagle will serve as the event’s emcee.

Benefitting Spiriting of Giving and Junior League of Boca Raton, general admission is free with an unwrapped new toy or a monetary donation collected upon drive-thru check-in entry. The contributions will support Spirit of Giving’s annual Holiday Gift Drive, which provides services to thousands of children across Palm Beach County.

Individuals can also purchase VIP tickets at $50 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Parking is free.

VIP tickets feature access to the hospitality tent where The Addison of Boca Raton will be serving hors d’oeuvres, a farmer’s table-style array of cheeses and antipasto as well as two open bars. The VIP tent will also house a Kids Corner, including treats and beverages. In total, 100% of the VIP ticket sales will benefit the Junior League of Boca Raton.

“Bring a toy or a donation for the Spirit of Giving,” said Michael Perrette, general manager at CP Group, formerly known as Crocker Partners. “Anything you contribute in terms of purchasing your VIP tent admission goes to the Junior League. CP Group is very aware and wants to stay engaged with the community, and that’s just a way for us to facilitate that.

“There’s so much green space here,” he said. “There’s unique architecture and decor for everyone to come and enjoy, including the 40-foot tree we’re planning to assemble and erect and have on display.”

During the event, guests will have the chance for photo ops with Santa at his festive throne, as well as the event’s North Pole scene, which includes snow-covered trees and a sleigh overflowing with wrapped presents.

Event goers can also enjoy performances from the Boca Ballet Theatre, Grandview Preparatory School, Kids Music Kompan, West Boca Raton Community High School and the Florida Atlantic University’s women’s chorus.

Guests are asked to enter off Yamato Road and T-Rex Avenue.
