The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, which is based in Boynton Beach, will host its sixth annual Literacy Links Golf Tournament on April 29 at the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course.
The fundraiser will provide children and adults in need with links to literacy programs to help them succeed in school and life.
The check-in for the scramble format tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. The shotgun start will follow at 8:30 a.m. The charity tournament will also include lunch, awards and a silent auction.
“Literacy Links is a unique opportunity,” said Kristin Calder, CEO of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. “The golfers get to enjoy an oceanside round at an extraordinary course and their support generates significant funds to help the Literacy Coalition increase our impact to provide literacy help to students in need in our community.”
The Literacy Links Golf Tournament chairperson is Nancy Vera of Delray Beach. The tournament sponsors include Brenda Medore and Publix Supermarket Charities.
The foursome registration is $800 and individuals can register for $225. Lunch is included in the registration cost. The sponsorship levels include platinum ($15,000), gold ($10,000), silver ($5,000), bronze ($3,000), supporter ($1,000) and tee sign ($300).
“We are grateful to all of the sponsors and golfers who support our efforts to transform lives through literacy,” Calder said. “The Literacy Links golf event helps us provide links to literacy for the adults, children and families we serve.”
