Jason Savino is the founder and CEO of Potions in Motion, Florida’s premier full-service gourmet catering and events company.
Averaging 25 to 35 events such as weddings, graduations and corporate events per week during peak season, Savino and his team of 65 can service up to 3,000-person gatherings. He is recognized as the gourmet caterer to elite and celebrity events that have served household names like Jay Leno and Tim Allen at some of South Florida’s biggest events including Concours D’ Elegance, the duPont Registry™ Live Hangar Party, 50 Shades of Blogging, and the annual Dine & Dock Celebrity/CEO Experience Auction and Humanitarian Awards.
Born on Long Island, New York, Savino attended SUNY Stonybrook, graduating with a double major in economics and management. In the early 2000s, an associate of his asked if he knew anyone who could fill in as a guest bartender during a holiday party. After accepting the gig, his work and dedication to the role impressed others. Recognizing a larger need for his services, Savino officially founded Potions in Motion in 2006 as the very first premier mobile bartending company in the South Florida region. Six years later and due to an ever-increasing demand, the company added a catering division, which today compensates for about 90% of the its total sales.
During Potions in Motion’s early days, Savino’s first inspiration with his company was to monopolize the bartending sphere for events. He felt that there was a need to change the way that décor, food and entertainment was handled, and wanted to retire the typical notion of an outdated banquet table shoved into the corner offering only a small selection of mixed drinks. Today, Potions in Motion exists to adapt to any given special event need. The trusted, safety-certified team can adjust food, beverage, decor, and staffing components to meet the needs and demands of a client within a moment’s notice, always delivering consistent attention to detail. During COVID-19, the company was able to open five new e-commerce sites within 48 hours, and transform its existing catering business into a food market and dinner delivery company.
“My business philosophy is simple: find out what people need and want, then try to make it better, and try to get it done first,” explains Savino. “Success is when you have made positive impacts on society, other people, and yourself in any way possible.”
Jason Savino resides in Boca Raton, Florida with his family. He is currently working on an exciting new project for a chain of restaurants.
