Man hospitalized after shooting inside Town Center mall in Boca Raton, police say

A man was shot in the leg and possible suspects have been detained after a shooting at the Town Center at Boca Raton mall on Wednesday, Jessica Desir, a spokesperson for Boca Raton Police, said.

Desire said police were called shortly before 7 p.m. about the shooting, which happened inside the mall. Social media reports indicated that customers and workers were locked down at the Saks store.

Boca Raton police say that as of 7:45 p.m. , there is no active threat. Desir said the man who was shot has been taken to Delray Beach Medical Center and the possible suspects were in the process of being interviewed Wednesday evening.
