BOCA RATON — Police in Boca Raton have a man in custody following a shooting in the 7000 block of NW 3rd Avenue, east of Interstate 95.
It happened just before noon Wednesday, according to police tweets. Few other details were available.
Police set up a perimeter in the area and were able to locate the man.
A Boca Raton Police Department spokeswoman told WPTV that the victim was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital.
Police released a description of the suspect earlier in the day. He was described as thin, with brown hair and brown eyes, and wearing black shorts with no shirt.
Investigators are combing the area, police said.
