Man shot and killed in Delray Beach, no one in custody, police say

DELRAY BEACH — A man was shot multiple times Friday night in Delray Beach and later died, and the shooter is still on the loose, according to police.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of SW 8th Avenue near SW 9th Street, according to Delray Beach police.

They saw a man outside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, which is where he died.

The man’s family requested his identity not be released, citing Marsy’s Law, police said.
