Police investigating report of gunfire in Boca Raton neighborhood

BOCA RATON — Boca Raton police are questioning people in connection to a report of a possible gunshot at a residence Wednesday, according to a spokesman.

Police confirmed that a resident reported hearing what sounded like gunfire, but no evidence of a shooting has been found.

No arrests have been made. Police didn’t say how many people were being questioned.

The incident was reported in the 7000 block of NW 3rd Avenue, east of Interstate 95, early Wednesday, Boca Raton police said in a tweet.

Streets in the neighborhood are lined with single-family homes. Police are asking that residents avoid the area.
