Those who want to get in touch with their inner Ross Geller have an opportunity with not one but two different dinosaur exhibits this summer.

In West Palm Beach, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium has its Dinosaur Revolution exhibit until Nov. 28. Visitors will have the chance to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a dinosaur and paleontologist. Through an immersive maze filled with prehistoric-themed activities, guests can wear “dinosaur feet” to make tracks, fly on a miniature zip line and build a dinosaur. A paleontologist-themed area can be found toward the end of the maze in which participants can climb a rock wall, dig for fossils and solve mysteries by gathering data.

“This powerful combination of role-play and study creates an unforgettable experience that will inspire older visitors to take a fresh look at this prehistoric topic and encourage young visitors to look to the future as they learn more about this fascinating subject,” said Kate Arrizza, the Science Center’s president and CEO. “We are still upholding strict cleaning and social distancing practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since reopening on Memorial Day weekend 2020, we have not had a single case of the virus throughout our programming. Safety is paramount and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to this fun and educational exhibit — along with our acres of outdoor activities and programming.”

Another prehistoric exhibit can be found in Broward County. The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale will be showcasing its newest dinosaur exhibit and movie later this month. On May 22, guests can see the film launch of “Dino Dana The Movie” or wait until June 5 and 6 for the red-carpet premieres. Tickets to the “Dino Dana The Movie” Field Pass Red Carpet Premiere also include the “Dino Dana The Movie” Colossal Fossil educational programming, which includes a meet-and-greet with a baby triceratops, make-and-take activities with dinosaur skeletons and fossils, dig pit excavation with souvenir shark teeth, an augmented reality live stage show and experience, access to the new “Dino Dana The Movie” exhibit and more.

“Fascination with prehistoric life never goes extinct, and MODS is excited to partner with Sinking Ship Entertainment and Safari Ltd. for the official U.S. launch of Dino Dana in South Florida,” said Joseph P. Cox, president and CEO of MODS. “Dino Dana is a fun and adventurous exhibit and film powered by fierce heroine paleontologist Dana, her friends and the augmented reality dinosaurs they encounter along the way.”
